As I have already noticed on my commutes into work in the early mornings, daylight is getting longer. The sun is starting to rise here at about 6am, which has prompted me to go try to see the Northern Lights as much as I can before it gets too late in the year.

A coworker and I went out on Saturday March 26 at around 10pm, we stayed out pretty late – till about 4am. The temperatures weren’t bad and with hardly any wind. As usual there were quite a few tourists also waiting for the light show to start.

The Northern Lights were really only pretty intense for a really short while – the rest of the time it was pretty dull. The pictures I took with a Nikon D7100 and a GoPro Hero 8 Black did need some mild editing to have a nice vibrant color.
