Museum of the North

Over President’s Day weekend I stopped by the Museum of the North. It is located on the campus of the University of Alaska in a modern designed building. The street signs on the campus made it pretty easy to find (Google Maps also provided pretty accurate directions).

The museum is a wonderful collection and introduction of Alaskan culture, awesome wildlife and extreme landscape.

An interesting bit of adventure: as I was driving up to the museum (on campus), I noticed a police car stopping traffic going into a parking lot. As I drove closer I noticed two moose eating off the same tree. This is only my second time seeing any moose on this trip.

An update with a video is coming 👍
