People from all around the world participate and spectate the most intense competition in the world. My first time spectating this wild event was both during the day time and then later in the evening. The best time to see these sculptures is definitely during the evening hours but seeing them in the day light was pretty interesting. The competition is from February 14th to March 19th 12pm – 10pm.

It was interesting to see some of the artists start carving up the blocks of ice.

The level of detail was absolutely amazing. This only raised my excitement level to see them at night!
