The drive to Eagle Summit from Fairbanks is a nice, scenic route. It is close to a 2.5hr drive with many areas to stop along ponds and rivers. The temperature did get down to around 28 degrees, since the elevation is 3,652 feet.
It’s amazing to see this much snow near the end of May. When I did get to the summit, it was pretty windy, so I didn’t stay long before heading home.
